Protocol: HIT Competent Cells


Description

HIT™-DH5a are unique chemically competent cells, which utilize a novel transformation protocol, High Ice Transformation. A simple ice incubation from 1-10 minutes is all that is required to transform the cells to high efficiency. There is no requirement for heat shock or a recovery step.

Each HIT™ shipment is -70oC electronically monitored and recorded for maximum efficiency guarantee.


HIT™ Value 108

  • Recommended for sub cloning, general cloning

Applications and Genotype

The HIT™-DH5a strain allows blue-white color screening for recombinant plasmids and is an excellent host strain for routine cloning applications using plasmid or lambda vectors.
