UBI Adds Affordable Life Sciences Products

December 17, 2004 - Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. United Bioinformatica Inc. (UBI) announces the addition of a Life Sciences products division to supply affordable laboratory supplies and equipment to Canadian researchers.
UBI Life Sciences, offers reagents, consumables, and laboratory equipment at savings of 25% or more over existing competitors. UBI is able to do this thru its sourcing policy (China and India) and its low cost marketing and sales channel. UBI uses Post Grads and Post Docs working in Canadian academic labs to provide marketing and support to the labs that use UBI Life Sciences products.
The potential for the Life Sciences division was first realized by Russell Trischuk, Partner, UBI Proteomics, when he saw the pricing that was available thru China and the quality of those same products. Mr. Trischuk stated, "Traditional companies selling laboratory equipment and supplies have a very expensive personal sales channel that UBI does not want to duplicate. The customer ultimately ends up paying for that smiling face at the door in the price of their laboratory equipment and supplies."
UBI Life Sciences is now open for business and promises to beat competitive reagent kit prices by 25%.
